Porterfield R4

I am looking at getting some Porterfield R4 pads. Anyone with any experience? I wonder what they compare with. They seem to have a great price point. My other pad of choice but cost 2x as much are the Carbone Lorriane RC6E as they will last much longer than most race pads.

I have the R4 on my e46 m3 trackcar. I like them, the ABS rarely kicks in anymore compared to when I had the HP+ pads.

R4 do not compared to the top tier trackpads, they fall in the middle. If you want pure trackpads go for the DTC or others in that range. On the other hand, I know people using R4's doing mid 1:50's at BW.

R4 are loud on the street, like all track pads since every time you brake on the street you are scrapping off the pad bedding on the rotor.

Great ty I just ordered a set to try out. Looks like VAC runs them on a few if their race cars. Dtc were a thought but heard they eat up rotors

R4s are great. Only pad I run on my e92. They don't make too much noise. St43/45/47 sound like a train.

R4 Porterfield

I liked it and the price was good. Also, I thought it was rotor friendly for I hardly saw any indentation on my rotors after 5 track dates. Noisy as hell but that goes w/ out saying w/ dedicated track pads. I'll buy it again.

Great thanks for all the replies. I will be testing them out next month at WSIR.
