Dealership survey
Does everybody always give the highest rating on the survey? I didn't give the highest score on some of the questions for waiting area and service dept. My CA at my dealership got upset saying his score was only a 96 out of 100. I gave my guy all the highest mark regarding sales etc. But he said the low score on the waiting area was on him and not the dealership.

My service advisor told me to give him the highest rating possible and to talk to him first before giving anything less than that. They really do want those perfect scores!

I never do. Given that the rating scale has 10 as "truly outstanding" in my mind that means service that was above and beyond my expectations - and I'm sorry but I expect that the car will be clean when delivered and I expect that the salesman and manager will be pleasant to work with. To score a ten they would have to provide champagne and caviar, or knock $1000 off the price - that wold be outstanding!

I have done both. I used one dealership who could give a rats ass about me as a client and their service reflected it. I gave them low scores. My current dealership, I always give my SA top scores... I even use his name in any comment areas to highlight how good he is/was. Why you may ask, because my SA takes great care of me. He has fought for me on many issues which he could have said "as designed". He will get software upgrades, he finds SIB's or puts comments in to make the fix/change/repair happen. He was outstanding during the time my X5 was in the shop for 63 days, He always reserves me the best loaners (hard to have a 320 when you are used to a M3 and X5 50) and I always end up with coupon/discount when I do my mid-cycle fluid changes. SA's get rewarded with by perks like driving events on new cars. He commented that he gets high ratings and that his bosses have commented that people have taken the time to actually write comments about how good he is. For me that is a Win Win.
