Rear bumper protector

Will this really fit F15?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stainless-st...3481a8&vxp=mtr

This area had the most scratches on my previous car and wanted to avoid it on my new X5. Any recommendations and links to the alternative solutions are appreciated!

Do I need to cut it myself or it fits the shape of bumper?

Check xpel.com... They have templates for hood, fenders and front. Not sure about the rear but the installer pretty much can install the film anywhere.

That is only for the E70 X5.
They do sell the protector piece for new F15 from xpel
I can ask my friend how much it is, he installs the clear guard.

You really cant since you would have the tailgate open.

I had this installed on mine and it's completely transparent. I'd recommend this option over either versions from ebay.

Does someone uses this one and if it's worth installing on MW F15:

You are better off with Xpel. Here a link to their site for the F15.

That area of the bumper should not need to be protected since the "tailgate" style doors open and can be used as protection while loading and unloading cargo. Plus that piece of material would just destroy the look of the X5's rear..

I agree completely, however my wife actually keeps the lower tailgate up while accessing the back sometimes for various, usually kid-related reasons (changing them in the back, keeping them contained while loading/unloading). It drives me crazy since that leaves the lower portion exposed for scratches and dings, but she's the one who drives it and hauls the kids around...

Exactly, I was thinking some fiddling by my wife with the kids might damage the paint while the the lower part of the trunk is closed.
