Waiting to be released by carrier...?
How much longer before we get the vehicle once this status is spoken on the phone after calling BMW N/A? Anyone timed it after hearing this?

Mine was supposed to leave SC on the 6th but didn't depart until the 9th. Was supposed to arrive in Oxnard on the 9th so running about 4 days behind. Guess in the process I found out the train ride to Oxnard is 4 days.
Hopefully doesn't take too long now since marked priority 1 (customer car) in the system. Would love to have by the weekend. |

P1 doesn't seem to mean much. Or I'd have mine by now.
There's a C&C next Saturday I want to show it off at. I'm taking delivery at a dealer on the other coast and they're shipping it. If UPS Ground can get me a box in 5 days, whatever shipper they're using better as well. I'll probably be up all night Friday installing everything. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow. Was today but I guess something happened.

Nevermind, it was an error, it has been sitting in South Carolina Since March 5th and it is complete...anyone hear of any problems with shipping? Not sure why they haven't shipped it on a carrier yet...!? The status only says waiting to be released to the carrier. The Dealer doesn't know anymore either..

My car has been in 'vehicle production complete, waiting to be released to the carrier' for over 2 weeks now. Frustrating. I'm planning a tight schedule of selling my car tomorrow, taking a trip out of city where dealership is and picking up new X5 when I get back. Originally had about 2 weeks of expected cushion time and now I'm getting nervous.

Mine was ordered on 3/3, entered production 3/6, was turned over to carrier 3/14, due into NM dealer 3/21 - 3/22. Custom X5, order to delivery, NM, looks like it will be about 3 weeks, in total, one week, of which, waiting to fill a carrier truck and deliver my location. No complaints!

Just got a call from the dealer, it has a schedule delivery date on 3/25 next Tuesday! I will be posting some pics once we receive it! Hopefully it comes sooner!

It took mine 4 days by train from what I can figure out. But it's been stuck at Oxnard for over a week. Frustrating. Bet WDIMAGINEER gets his before I do and they left SC at same date.
