Is anyone here into pelican cases?
I freaking love these things. Does anyone here keep their camera equipment or guns in them? Here's a new line of custom foam inserts that I am now carrying that are compatible with them. I thought that some of you camera and gun guys might appreciate it. The pics show foam applications for guns, and wine bottles, but we are also going to do these for camera gear, among other things!

The wine bottle one is an awesome idea!
I have been wanting to get a smaller one for my SBR for a while. People online are using hot wire cutters to customize the inserts but they don't look nearly as good as the ones in the pics. |

gotta love a nice Pelican Case. Love it even more when it's got custom inserts!
I usually keep my camera gear in my bag and all the guns in the safe. I have a hard case for the range. One side accommodates 2 pistols and the other side accommodates some ammo, ears, mags, and eyes. But it's pretty cheap and everything slides around in it. Maybe if you design something for a rolling case that holds 4-5 boxes of ammo, 3-5 pistols, several mags, ears and eyes i'd buy in.

I have the huge 1650 with the divider insert set for all my camera gear. It's for home storage mostly. I got sick of having stuff scattered in different bags. It'll fit in the MB's trunk if I do need to take all my gear somewhere, but I usually don't travel with more than I can fit in one of my backpacks.

How much do those cost? How does one go about getting the custom foam made?

I'm thinking of something like this…..
But with custom cutouts in this…. Thinking like 4 or 5 pistol slots towards the top, opposite end of the wheels. With mag cutouts under the pistols. Under that cutouts that can hold for ear muffs and glasses. Under those, closest to the wheels, a larger cutout that can a few boxes of ammo. Think you guys can do something like that? The tan pelican case is 19.75"L x 11"W x 7.6"D and the lid depth is 1.75"

Here's how it works: If the weapon or item, isn't already in our database then we mail you special grid paper, you photograph each item that you want separately on the grid paper, take a pic of each layout and email it to us. From there we can configure it to your preference. We make foam for pretty much any pelican case.

The DIY options are good too, but we are offering a more precise product for people who want perfection, and who also do not want to do the cutting themselves.
