Sold!

Offering to sell Active Autowerke Generation-2, Level-3 with Meth supercharger kit. Kit is complete with all components and hardware. Only a tune from AA is required.

The kit is like brand new. It only has approximately 1000 miles on it. Some of you might remember this kit and car as featured on the front page of BimmerPost.

Upon purchase of the car, the kit was immediately removed from the car as soon as the car moved to California. Less than five miles were put on the kit while in California. Anybody in the Los Angeles area can stop by Auto Talent to take a look and inspect it. Just PM me in advance so I can notify the shop you are coming.

I am highly motivated to sell it and will accept any reasonable offer. The kit retails for $15k. I am offering at half that price.

PM for serious offers.

What happened to the SPEC twin disk? I'm curious to know how that felt, pedal pressure wise.

The clutch is a tad jerky; it is very streetable however. Pedal pressure is no different cuz we're hydraulic. Or if it was different, I didn't notice. I guess I got used to driving a heavy duty sprung racing clutch in my GTI many moons ago...so everything feels light duty ever since.

Easy to slip, or is it an "off/on" clutch like a 4 puck?

IMO, it is easy to slip. It has a very slight notchy grab on the very first catch. But the grab doesn't lurch you forward in an unpredictable way. It's very controllable.

I never planned to keep the kit when I bought the car.
