Increased Emissions - SES - Fuel Tank Vent Valve

Just got back from the dealer and they tell me one fault was due to a loose gas cap and another for the fuel tank vent valve. I have 76,920 miles on the car and no major exhaust mods. I've read the threads about the O2 Sensors and the Fuel Pressure Sensor throwing the same Increased Emissions warning...but haven't found anything regarding the fuel tank vent valve. Was wondering if anyone has experienced or heard of this one...and if the fuel tank vent valve replacement will actually fix the issue...or could it just be the common O2 Sensor or Fuel Pressure Sensor issue. If it turns out to be the fuel tank vent valve...then we have one more thing to consider under the Increased Emissions warning.
