Oil usage, how many miles before adding
My 08 needed a quart every 5k miles, my 11 has only dropped 1/4 in 9k miles. Anyone else have little indicated drop in oil?

Someone created a thread about this about a week ago, and that was hardly the first one. Look back a bit? Check the Mechanical Maintenance subforum, I think that's where these threads go.

For me it depends on how hard I drive my vehicle. If I drive it hard it could be +1 in the 3~5k range otherwise it lasts for some time. So I'm not sure that the question your asking will give you the results you're expecting...

I change the oil every 5-6,000 miles, and I've rarely had to add any between changes. The last time I had it changed, the dealer didn't fill it entirely, so I started a half quart down. I had to add a quart at about 5,000 miles, so a quart every 8-10,000 sounds about right. I track the car and regularly accelerate to near redline on highway on-ramps. On the other hand, I've always been very careful with warm-up and followed the recommended break-in when it was new. The car has over 62,000 miles on it, and the oil consumption doesn't seem to have changed.

I've never had the electronic dipstick move in the time I've owned the car. I did my previous oil change when the computer told me that it was time. I'm not sure how many miles that was, but way more than 5000.
