Cost/Where to have Coilovers Installed in Seattle?

As the title says -- thinking about switching into a set of coilovers and was wondering if anyone has had the work done in the Seattle area?

If so, where and how much did the install/alignment run?

Had my coilovers installed by my friends at Achtuning in Redmond (http://achtuning.com/). Can't remember exact price as I had several things done at once and had some store credit applied, etc etc. Also getting my M3 aligned later today by them.

They're primarily known for Audi, but they work on everything from BMW to Mercedes to Lotus to Porsche, and on and on and on.

Can't say enough good things about Achtuning. Great guys and their customer service is on point (they'll keep you updated throughout the day, even sending you pics of the progress, etc).

Call and ask for Dion - he'll be sure to treat you right (feel free to tell him Lindsay sent you)

Awesome!

Thanks, guys.

Do any of you guys have experience with any indy shops in the area as well? I've reached out to a few, but haven't been able to get a quote for some work through email. Guess I may have to show up in person sometime soon.

Huh. Didn't know Achtuning did any BMW work. They're a great shop.
Group 2 Motorsports gets my vote. They know the E9x M3 very well.

Good call Rennis, forgot about Kevin. KD Motorsports in Bellevue is an indy shop. He's another good one to look in to for install, and he's good at responding to emails and texts.

Yep! Obviously they primarily do Audi and Volkswagen, but still offer a number of things for other makes. One of the head guys (Todd) is a big BMW guy and a member of BMWCCA.

Awesome. Tell him Lindsay referred you, and tell him i say hi.

He's a driver for Jaguar and they fly him all over, so if he's out of town with Jaguar or racing pro3, it may take him a bit longer to get back to you (although even when he's out of town, he usually responds within about a day or so).

Also, i'm assuming Carrozzeria (or however you spell it) would be able to do this sort of thing also. They're in Kirkland and owners are on the forum (surprised no one has chimed in?)

Good to hear there are some options.

I just picked up an e39 M5 and have a laundry list of items that need to be done at some point, so hoping to find a shop to work with.

Too bad there aren't any shops in downtown Seattle -- would be way more convenient for me!

Seriously, I wouldn't allow just any shop to take a file to my wheels to make them seat properly. These are some of the best guys to go to for suspension work in my opinion. They're Alfa Romeo track junkies and truly understand all aspects of suspension work (and then some).

Give them a shot and tell me I'm wrong.

Shot them a note as well as they are closer to me. Will wait to hear back.

Check out West Werks in Redmond. They just did my rear subframe bushings and diff bushings. Labor rate is way cheaper than anywhere else.

If you're looking for someone with M3 specific expertise, you can't go anywhere but Vogue Autowerks. They've got a shop full of M3s all day every day and have been doing it for years.
