drove about 100 miles with out a front Caliper spring (clip)
just notice i lost one, has anyone had this happen where it just pop out?
and can you drive with out? because is out of stock in all dealers NYC area. |

as far as i know they are just an anti rattle clip and can be out permanatly with no issue.

I think it actually holds the caliper in place though to be in the correct position. When i swap pads and bolt the sliding pins back on, it is secure but seems like the positioning has a slouch in it. With the clip on, itll hold it in the correct spot. How did it fall off, you have to pry it pretty good to get it off. Did you not put it back on correctly?

there are aftermarket pads that come without cliips...im not sure you will be rubbing the pad on the rotor but you might just hear noise if its the anti-rattle clip. [that would be my assumption based on my knowledge of changing my pads once]
