Strut brace for 1M

Has anyone had any experience with or knowledge of front strut braces for our car? I have searched and searched and basically there are two types, the ones sold by Turner Motorsport and Motorsport24, and by Mason Engineering, which I personally prefer. Unfortunately, the one by Mason Engineering is not tested on the 1M and thus will probably not fit (second pic).

I would be interested in knowing if anyone has installed any kind of strut braces on his 1M...

It comes with the OEM diagonal bracing Firewall arms like in the first picture attached. The second picture shows the actual strut brace that runs across the engine compartment. You could still see the diagonal arms running diagonally.

Although I've run aftermarket strut braces on several BMWs (including a Mason piece on my '99 M Coupe), I'm skeptical that there are any benefits to be gained from replacing the stock brace on the 1M.

Harold of HPA has noted that the 1M brace is not the same as the M3 brace. It has the same tower mounts but the rest of the brace is different and Harold has mentioned is inferior to the M3 one. I dont think we have photo comparisons.

Are you referring to the one that Mason makes or the OEM one?
