Dealer recommended extra maint. question

Took car in for regular oil change today. Dealer recommend 2 other extra maint items, coolant flush and fuel injector flush, which are not included in the free maint program and each item costs approx $175. I was under the impression that now adays the coolant are usually life time, and not sure if flushing the injectors was a good idea either, loosen carbon particle causing issues? I have a 09 E92 with about 75000km, and I change my engine oil change in between recommended intervals. So are the recommended 2 extra items a good idea or dealer just trying to make so extra cash off of me? Thank in advance

Doing a coolant flush every 4yr/80 000km is good for cooling system longevity. Overtime the coolant becomes acidic, and wears down seals such as the one in the N5x water pumps.

Fuel injector flush, I'd hold off on. If it was a 335i I'd say the carbon build up may be enough to call it.

For reference - we offer our coolant flush service, with original BMW coolant for only $82.40+ tax. That is for all BMWs.

Thank you Jon, great info:

$82.40 sounds like a sound investment.

I will give you a call and set something up in the near future.
