Front Sway Bar
A lot of posters have gone down the e93 m3 sway bar route.
Is there a bigger / stiffer bar out there?

Not sure how it would compare to the E93 bar, but Hotchkis makes a bar for E90-E92 that may fit. I used a hotchkis front and rear set on my STI years ago and they worked well, great quality, perfect fit.

The Hotchkis and H&R are both non-adjustable? What's the deal? No one makes a blade, or even three hole?

I don't know of others not already mentioned, but you may want to check the E9x M3 boards if you haven't already done so.
You may also want to call James Clay at Bimmerword and Will Turner at TMS. Neil |

Found one from RD sport that looks nice- light, hollow, adjustable:

There is still body roll snd i can't get off the corner.
Now, the car did mot have time for an alignment after the d/a koni install with the e93 m3 sway bar. I also think i heat cycled out the tires in the pro-solo. So, there are some things to change on the car. I am 3/4 full stiff everywhere but front rebound (top adjustment on strut in the front). Need to move it up to 3/4 too on the next outing. To try to make up for the lack of spring rate. Scca stock class requires the use of the stock spring perch and springs.

Must it be stock springs or just springs with a stock profile? If the later, you can always get springs wound with a much higher rate from H&R or similar sources. RD bar makes sense if you are after an adjustable bar with a slight increase in rate. The Hotchkis is probably the stiffest bar you will find with the drawback that is not adjustable(you may want to have that option with such a stiff bar). If we can help you with Hotchkis products, please let us know. |

Would it be crazy to drill extra holes? Assuming that they are spaced far enough apart to retain strength in the bar, same diameter as the originals, good drill bit & cleaned up to avoid stress cracks after, etc.

Would the 135 Hotchkis bar fit the 1M? Is that stiffer than the OEM bar on the 1m?

The car runs 295/30/19 Hoosier A6's in the rear. There is a new set ready to go on the wheels and I need to check the alignment due to the suspension install was too close to Summer Nationals. I still feel like the car is a full second off the pace. Part of this is lack of toe in in the rear. The other part is heat cycled out tires. Pro-Solo does not allow spraying between runs and is ran in a hot lapping fashion. So there are a few things to sort through before buying, yet another sway bar, but I have a feeling I am going to have to replace the e93 m3 sway I just bought.

The car has some understeer mid corner... A stiffer bar will only make it understeer more? Unless you are getting pretty crazy with alignment and tires a stiffer front bar will make the understeer worse. You would have to stiffen the rear also to keep it neutral.
