Weekend run to Bathurst
Hi all, just thought I would post a few pics from my run out to Bathurst this weekend. Trying to get k's (mileage) up so it can go in for its inspection - also making sure the first few thousand aren't all city stop start driving.
For those of you who don't know Bathurst is about 3 hrs drive west of Sydney and is host to a 1000 kms race for the Australian V8 Supercar championship, for the rest of the year it is a public road. If you have never watched the race I highly recommend it. Should be on Speed TV for those of you in the US, second weekend in October. |

That track is awesome. I've never been, but have watched it on TV. The elevation change looks amazing. Did you get to drive the track, or is it just public road at the moment?
Nice pics. |

Public road unfortunately - only 60km/h limit! 35mph i think? Would love to drive it in anger.

Nice pics!
Was up there myself a couple of weeks ago when the track was closed for an event. Awesome layout and there are some nice roads out there leading out to some of the surrounding towns. |

Yea, we went to Oberon after Bathurst and stayed the night in the Blue Mountains. It was a pretty good run, the road does need a fair bit of work in places though.

Got rough in parts, but in general a pretty smooth drive considering where it is! |

What an incredible race course! Thanks for sharing the photos.
Here's a great video of Jenson Button attacking the course, for those who are interested:

I know... I wish they would open it like they do with the Nurburgring, the only thing wrong with that are people actually live around the circuit and most Australian drivers are useless and would probably kill themselves.
