Installed LED angel eyes (GP thunder comparison)
I've had GP Thunders 8500K installed for a few week. The color is better than the OEM globes however they are not as white as I would like.
Last week I bought a set of LED angel eye globes from ebay for a very reasonable price. So reasonable that I had nothing to lose. I'm very happy with the results. A lot better than the GP thunder. See comparison photo. GP Thunders on the left and ebay LED on the right. I saw Liub's Alpines angel eyes the other day and these are very comparable. Haven't done a side by side comparison with the Alpines to verify this.

Happy to compare with Lux if anybody has got them in Melbourne. They are 1/10th the price of the LUX

Installed them tonight so have not seen them in daylight yet. Even though they may not look like it in the photo, they are brighter than the GP's.

Liub - Happy to drive down to see you when you have some time so that we can compare these to your Alpines.

Hello there,
Are these led lights quite visible during day time? Sometimes it's difficult to tell in the pictures. I installed GPT 8500K but I find them kind of pinkish, and when the Xenon is on, the two middle rings dim a bit and the color turn more yellowish. I am thinking about Lux but would like to know your opinion, is the Lux better than this? Thanks. |

Do you have the link to those LED you have bought. I am planning to change mine (currently Phillips Crystal Vision on my angel eyes), not happy with the colour temperature, does not match my HID. Still looks abit dull yellowish when I switched on my HID. If I don't , it looks white alone. |

They are visible during the day. The inner one is brighter than the outer one during the day but I believe this is the case with the Lux. I haven't seen the lux other than in pictures however, they are almost ten times the price of these LED's and therefore I expect them to be better. In comparison to the GPT 8500K these are brighter and a lot whiter. For the cost you should try them. You can't go wrong

So you reckon that they are brighter than the GP? The GP is not quite good in day time though..
