Nice roads around ramstein?
What are some good roads around ramstein/kmc? Ive been getting the itch for some spirited driving, and i was wondering what some of your preferred roads are.

There are allot of good roads between A6 and A62. Connect up the back roads into Schonenburg all the way to Konken. I live out this way and go the back ways sometimes just because.......

The best road to have a "good" time is located on B48, heading towards Johannikreuz in the back side of Trippstadt, where I used to live. This is where I used to do my "Ghetto mount" camera mount testings or when I just wanted to enjoy spirited driving.
Once spring comes around it is a very popular road for motorcyclists to go on. Sometimes they set up cameras but its very rare.

At the German book stores they sell "Motorad Karte" books. Basically IF the motorcycle guys like the twisty's us car guys will like 'em too. When you see a nice curvy road that has double armco in the turns... or plastic covers for the gaurdrail supports - you know you are on a good road. They will also have some signs on the road telling you not to race! That is a sure sign you are on a "good" car guy road.
Dackel a sign like this.... is a sure sign you are on he RIGHT road! Do a search for: "Motorradtouren in Deutschland" Here is one book - that will show you some good roads in Germany to drive. http://www.amazon.de/Die-sch%C3%B6ns...228058&sr=8-10 |

It took me a while to figure this sign out but I've learned to love it. I knew it meant no racing but didn't realize it also meant it was going to be an excellent road to run.
Theres one back road from Kusel upto baumholder thats a rolling set of switchbacks that can be rather fun. It's on a serious incline/decline. I like to just drive between all the villages around the Misau-Brucken-Kusel areas on Sunday. Least amount of traffic that ways. |

I just looked on Google Maps for roads that were as jagged as possible around here. I found one that I enjoyed a lot last summer.
I also found this route, never got the chance to try it out though. Its just SE of K-town. |
