Squeaky Suspension
Anyone notice or have a squeak in their suspension?
Sometimes when I sit down in my 07 Z4, I notice a squeak. It sounds like that holywood squeak you'd hear in a comedy where the neighbor just brought his date home and is obviously getting lucky in the bedroom. Hope that's not too graphic. But anyway, it's a little embarassing to get into my car sometimes and have that sound, especially when your buddies are around. Maybe it just needs some WD-40 or something. |

No squeak on my 07 Z. Kind of hard to imagine it's your suspension since it's so stiff. Do you have standard or sports suspension?

yea mine sounds like more of a creak coming from the rear. not too loud tho, not enough to be embarrasing. i suspect the emergency brake. try to do the drving about 20-30mph sometimes and engage the e brake to clean it up a little

It's not just the Z4's. All BMW's I've had squeak when you enter the car if the E-Brake is on. Try taking it off (please leave it in gear) and then enter the car. I'll bet it won't squeak. It's nothing to worry about and there's nothing you can do to fix it.

Yes, if you pull the brake when slowing to a stop a few times, it will go away.
