Hottest oil temp?

Assuming all systems are functioning properly, and your car is not overheating, what is the highest you've seen your oil temps reach?

I feel like I was pretty close to 255 recently, which might be the highest I've reached in any M. I don't track my car btw (not yet at least )

Was at El Mirage dry lakebed about a year ago w/ 6MT, thrashing the car around (donuts, drifting, tires spinning furiously trying to find grip on dry/caked dirt surface), pedal glued to the metal, etc, and eventually the oil temp warning light came on and the gauge was at 265 or 270.

I'm curious what conditions this was in. IOW, that temp in coolish WA weather in street driving would be pretty extreme, wouldn't it?

Sorry, been a while and didn't take pict, so forgot the exact wording of the warning. It showed up on the screen between the speedo & tach. Very noticeable, though, couldn't miss it when it came on.

I've only seen the them warning once after 30 min on a fast track in August. 105 Degrees and I was on it hard. I had to back off for about half a lap till it cooled down some. I'm going to try water wetter for this summer.

In the manual possibly? When my X6 was "overheating" it would just display on the idrive and on the oat screen

Normal temp for me is 210-220 poking around town during the summer depending on traffic. Tracking the car I've seen from 220-240ish

Bump this.

25 hour car ride home and the temp gauge was about a 1/8" to the right past 210. Got me worried lol with a consistent temp of around 80-105 degrees from florida to jersey

Mine is usually between 150-210 when I lived in the PNW. Since I have been down here in California my temps have been a little higher with the 90-105 degree weather.

Never really seen mine get over 210. I don't track, though. Mostly highway driving for me

Hottest mine has been was inbetween the middle and the third hash mark.

This was on the track on a very hot day. Normally it sits right under 210 for me, and slightly over if I'm on her hard.
