Keeping it clean (at the track)
I have always used painters of tape on my bumper to keep it clean
But last time, I saw a lot of people with Saran wrap... Which would be better? Or both? lol ___________ I got no response in the track thread so i put this here

I assume you are talking about at the track. I have not seen people use saran but I don't think it would provide as much protection as masking tape. Just don't over do it and look like a newbie.

It's not about keeping it clean, it's about avoiding rock chips and other giblets when you're stuck behind slower cars at speed or when they clip the apex. Clear bra is probably the way to go, but if you don't want something that permanent you can find clear latex that can be painted on before the event and peeled off cleanly later.

^^That photo above is ridiculous. If someone worries that much about their car, they probably shouldn't be at the track in the first place.

yes track
and no i wouldn't do it like that one up there.. that's.. just way too much I think I'll just do what I've always done and use the tape then just have a roll over it with saran putting saran on it is easy and quick and yes I know it's for avoiding rock chips and such.. not just keeping it 'clean' by 'clean' i meant not getting chips etc...

I would get a clear bra if it didn't cost an arm and a leg lol I can repaint my entire bumper a couple of times for the price of a custom clear bra

You guys must be new. To be technically correct, it is half LSB. The guy just bought the car from a dealer a couple hundred miles or so from home. He wrapped the front to drive the couple hundred miles home before he could have the clear bra installed. Folks, this was a true, um, enthusiast.
