Door dings

Do they make anyone as crazy as they do me? I got my first one in my old "new" car. The sides must have been done by the ding doctor, since my 04 didn't have one ding when I bought it. The other day I went to the DMV to register it and parked away from everyone on a grass makeshift parking lot, when I got back to get it there was an old piece of crap truck 2 inches away from me and when I washed my car later I saw the ding. Now that's the first thing I notice. I am zoning in on it. Is this a sickness? Anyone else have this?

If the paint is not damaged it's a very easy fix most of the time. Cheap and high chance of a perfect outcome. So don't worry about it.

PDR works wonders. Had a ding on my nearly perfect ZHP when I bought it and a good PDR guy came to my work and took care of it in the parking lot in 15 minutes. Can't even tell it was ever there.

That said, I am definitely super anal about where I park. Thankfully, most of my friends are very understanding.

I go out of my way to park far away from anyone as I can. I guess certain products attracts certain types of people. My dealer friend I bought the car from says I'm super anal about the cars I drive. So you are not the only one.

My old 3.0SI, I parked alone far away and went into Quiznos for a sandwich, I came out and saw my car keyed about 10 inches long. Good thing it was a lease and I was charged $150 for it. It gutted me the whole day...and it wasn't even my car.

When you have something nice and you're not super rich where these cars are just a toy where if you crack it you buy another one...we have the mindset that you want it nice for as long as you can. At least this is my thinking and how I take care of my things I own. I enjoy it...but I also take care of it and want it perfect.

Keying should be punishable by death!

I also park as far away, preferably in a corner spot where only one side is exposed, but always feel like waiting around for the person who parks next to me to ask what the f**k posessed you to park there. Just always kills me, why do people do that? And I agree, keying should be punishable by death or at least have their fingers cut-off by my hunting knife.
