Christine resurrected- comfort access?

Tried searching and have to wait for service till next week...trying to see if anyone else has seen this. Over the past few days I have noticed my mirror glass is moved. I put it back...it moves again at some point...left one down, right one in.

Today I am driving home and my drivers seat starts adjusting itself. Back down...back up toward the steering wheel and at one point uncomfortably close to the steering wheel....I'm thinking this is just like the movie Christine and I'm about to be put to death by my car! Well maybe not but what the hell...I'm trying to shift, seats moving, mirror moving....arggggg.

Then I realize....yes I have comfort access...fob is in my pocket and no, I have never put it in the dash slot...ever. So has anyone else seen this? Hopefully this is just a SW update and it'll be fixed...input appreciated since 1) when it happens I cannot override the movement with the side switches and 2). I've got to drive to work tomorrow...Christine must be pissed....

Are you perhaps using the wrong / different key? It has different settings stored for each key, and might be loading the wrong profile.

No....I'm saying it is the same key as always and as I'm driving the seat starts adjusting on its own. How is the seat being triggered to adjust? First gear, seat lays back, second gear lays back more....drive down the road and the seat back moves forward, mirrors adjust etc. Its like the CA is triggering the seats to adjust while driving and I can't stop it by using the controls on the side of the seat.

Is your car DCT? That could explain a lot. And AMC is out of business, so you're not driving a Gremlin...

(sorry)

6MT. Never threw a code. Noticed mirrors self adjusting a few days ago and it is getting worse. Funny thing is on the way home today when the seat started acting up I put the remote in the slot to charge and it began to stop. Seat adjusted a few more times and the mirrors stopped adjusting. Can this really be a key fob low battery problem?

If you have comfort access you cannot recharge the battery. It's a replaceable CR2032.

The only way to move the seat if the car is in gear/moving is to hold down the memory button until the seat is in the memorized position.

I'd take it in a have them reprogram the car.

Sounds like a software issue.

Does disconnecting the battery for a short period reset CA?
