For people doing ED

Just wanted to throw this out there. If you are doing an ED and need anything, i.e. ride from airport, language help, whatever. Send me a message, PM should function tomorrow hehe. Ja I am out of Stuttgart but anything to get out of work for a day and drive the M down the bahn. Also, I don't know if you are required to fly into Munich for an ED but I would be happy to do Frankfurt or Stuttgart with trans to Munich as well. Can't say I will be available 100% of the time but I will do my best to help you out. Besides, shouldn't everyone on an ED have M transportation from the Airport to their M? Anyways, let me know, 4+ weeks would be cool and I promise not you lock you in my basement (don't have a basement anyways). Cheers!

Very generous offer.

I may pick your brain about lodging & logistics. I'm doing a German Auto Museum Tour for my BMW ED. I will be in Stuttgart for 3 days to visit the Porsche and Mercedes Museums, then its off to Munich for BMW and Inglostadt for Audi. Any advice would be appreciated. My travel window in Germany is 3/24-30.

Feel free to PM.

No problem with the lodging or tours, PM won't be available until tomorrow but once it is I will send you a note. Just let me know your budget and plans, i.e. are you bring the M to Stuttgart after pick up or doing your touring first and ED last. Porsche is a one stop shop over in Zuffenhausen and both my neighbors work for MB. (Pretty sure almost everyone around here does) Anyways, I can get you in the right direction for MB bus tours of the factory as well to include the AMG section. Anyone can do it, nothing special, just always nice when someone is pointing the way.

My neighbor also told me of the R8 factory where they are put together on a hardwood floor with white gloves, guess I will have to see that one myself.

Once my PM is fired up we can chat and I can get you the LD on all the wonderful places to visit. As well as addresses to plug into the iDrive.

No worries guys, and just to be clear, I am NOT asking for anything from anyone for this. Other than getting to see the joy of a new M owner lol. I'm may not have the most information on certain things, but I am no travel center either. But I have been here 5+ years and even married one of their squaws. So hell ya whatever anyone needs, hotel advise, an address for a museum or factory (or hotel). Or just a plain ol ride to the Welt (pronounced VELT, please don't be the idiots I always hear talking about their trip to the "Welt" like is a bruise or something.

JKlein, my pm should be working by this evening, I'm 6 plus from you so anything eveningish there probably works. BTW any chance you're THE J klein?
