Daily use of M mode
I have only owned my vehicle for a couple of months now, and was wondering if driving in M mode day in day out affects the car at all?
I am still running my car in.....but anticipating future use!! |

fyi: there is no "M-mode". the M button is just a shortcut to your custom settings of throttle response, steering weight, suspension settings, traction control and DTC mode.
and yes, you can use the "hardest" settings all the time. the only thing that does damage to the car is revving it up when it's still cold. |

You set it up yourself based on what you want (through iDrive). You can find the FM on bmwusa.com.

I'd been there before and it's still the Feb '10 version, but I now see the Supplement from March :-)
Sweet, I can still use 35 psi front and rear, just like I'm using on my E36. And I can share 10W-60 with the E39 :-) Now to kill a couple more months waiting for my car... |

I hit my M-button for my custom settings every time I drive. No harm at all to the M3.
I'm even cool about it defaulting off at every start up. This works well in case my wife needs to drive the car. When she starts it up everything is in easy D1 mode without her having to do anything.
