Passenger's Power Seat Only Working on One Side
The power seat on the passenger's side brings one side forward/back, but not the other side. So the seat sort of rotates left and right when you use the button. Has anyone ever had any experience with this?
Car is still under warranty so I figure I can get it fixed but if it were something simple and I could avoid a trip to the dealer, I'd rather take care of it myself. I was going to wait to make the first post with the new M3 until I had better pictures of the new (to me, 08 CPO) car to post, but just in case I get a: Here's one: By the way, I love this thing. Owned a E46 which I also loved but this car is just ridiculously fun. |

I had this exact same thing happen to me but on the driver's seat. One side would move and the other wouldn't. In my particular case, there was a golf ball of all things jammed in the seat track and would not allow the seat to move backwards. Check the track as I looked several times and didnt' see it. Only when I stuck my hand down there and felt around, did I find the problem.

Yeah, sounds like a fuse, go to the dealer, nothing the forum can do...
Could be a bad motor, many things have them take a look and swap the fuse at the dealership otherwise grab a loaner and leave it overnight.

To answer my own question: it was a loose wire under the seat. I couldn't see it when I looked under there, but it was fixed pretty quickly (as a note, Crevier BMW gave me good service). Just in case anyone else has the same problem!
