Have an idea I've seen on other forums for DIY jobs

Forum members pitch in (say, $5 each), and the forum (a 'moderator') buys the special tools according to a list developed by all contributing members (and yes, something can be left for the forum). Then the tools are bought in descending order until money runs out. And members pay shipping both ways to borrow the tools, leaving a deposit in paypal or something like that.

Maybe it's too much trouble for the few of us who like to work on our cars, but it's always nice to borrow tools that would probably be used just once, and too expensive to justify buying. Tools like the spark plug puller and others. Let's see what you think. Take care.

Did it once for the RTAB remover tool on M3Forum. Just paid for shipping to the next person and it worked out great.

Forgot about this thread . I guess there aren't enough of us who like to work on our cars . It's understandable, as maintenance is included in the purchase price of the car. But I'll continue to do all maintenance on my car, special tools be damned . Even the spark plugs can be changed without any special tools; it just takes a bit more effort. Fine with me . Take care folks, and thanks for pitching in.

^I think it was just poor exposure for this thread....I never came across this thread until today, but I would pitch in for this idea.
