Fränkische Schweiz, Germany - 100km car tour on Nov 28th!
Ok, guys... I talked it over with the 1er Forum gang... at the Burger King last Sunday. We set the date for Sunday Nov 28th, 2010 for our little drive in the Fränkische Schweiz, aka "Little Swiss".
Fränkische Schweiz is the German (Bayern) State Park that encompasses the Bamberg/Bayreuth/Nuernberg area. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_...rland_(Germany) Last time we started off in Buttenheim (just South of BA) and drove about 120 kms thru lots of curvy and twisty roads. We will probably stop somehwere for a nice lunch. And have plenty of photo ops. Clear your calendar. I hope for us to have a few US spec one series & three's to mingle with our German friends. Feel free to invite friends with other bimmers. As soon as I know more details - I will post them. But our concensus was that on a Sunday there would be less traffic and more fun for "us" drivers. So Sunday Nov 28th is our date! Some photos from the last event... Here is the link to the trip we had a few months back. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...kische+Schweiz |

cool. i'm from the area as well. I might join if the weather is cooperating. Could you PM me the planned route? I'm familiar with the area and might be able to refine it to make it a bit more interesting drive :-D

Hi Guys,
We are still all set for Sunday's drive... It looks like it might be cold but dry - I hope. We will be meeting at Kellerstraße, in Buttenheim, just off the autobahn A73. 11am on Sunday Nov 28th! Butetnheim is just South of Bamberg (by two exits). You might get there early at 10:30am if you want to chit chatt. When you take the autobahn exit you drive not even 1km, take the 2nd left street/intersection - you will see the parkplatz with all the 1er's there. The parkplatz (where we all will meet!) is just behind this Welcome sign... Any Q's just PM me! Dackel |

Hi Guys, looks like the weather will hold off. Should be clear (no snow) but cold out. Just wanted to remind any last minute guys to come on out and play with us! So long as you drive a BMW anyone is more than welcome! See you guys there in Buttenheim tomorrow.
