Lights not coming on
First I have a early 2008 130i hatchback with iDrive's pop up screen.
When I unlock my car with the fob my parkers and rear tail lights and number plate lights dont come on like the use to? I have the lights turned to auto and havent changed a thing. Any ideas? Thanks |

IF the headlight switch is in the AUTO mode, the parking lights should come on when you lock/un-lock the car. When the headlight switch is just in the OFF position, they won't come on when you lock/unlock.

Whats the TSB?
Yes I have the lights switched to auto for the past 1.5yrs of ownership, but now the lights dont turn on when unlocking. I know one of my licence plate lights has been playing up, would it have something to do with that? Thanks |

Mine is under Setting menu and click on Lights. You will find there the option to turn on the notification to turn on the corner lights when locking/unlocking the car.Hope this helps. GL!

I check on my friend's older IDrive last night, his is as follows, Setting--Doors. I saw there the option to turn on/off the blinkers when locking/unlocking from the fob.

I'm having the same issue in addition to various other electronic gremlins which have reared their heads. The lights not coming on has been a battery saving thing the car does when the charge is getting low. Check the charge on you battery.

That is probably highly likely as the car is almost 3yrs old, and I dont think batteries last much longer than that these days. My VW R32 battery died just 2 weeks shy of 3yrs old.
Will look in to it! |

Hi,
(have just joined so be patient!) I have a 2006 m sport with Xenons and am having trouble with the headlight delay feature. After reading the manual several times I have set the delay feature to 40 seconds through the menu and nothing happens! Does anyone know if you have to press one of the remote buttons to activate? Does the auto headlight stwitch matter at all? I have replaced the remote batteries this week if that makes any difference! any help would be appreciated |
