FS - Custom Modified E92 Middle Exhaust / X-Pipe

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I am selling a modified OEM center exhasut section. This is an OEM E92 Coupe exhaust section that has had the secondary Catalytic converters "gutted", in other words, the secondary cats are still there, just hollow which allows for significantly more flow while still retaining OEM exhaust fit up, and more importantly, OEM "look" to pass visual emissions inspections.

I am running this midpipe currently on my E92 with a modded muffler section and it sounds great. GUARANTEED NO FAULT CODES!!! The O2 sensors are before these secondary cats so the car never even know that they are gone.

Only selling this because a move for work in a couple months has me selling this car and picking up a SUV.

It is in perfect shape, I would post pics but it is under my car at the time, and the pics look identical to any other OEM midpipe. The dealer could never tell i had no secondary cats. I meant to have teh car dyno'd but never got around to it but I would almost guarantee there is a slight pick up in the top end and the sounds is incredible!!!!

If you are interested, you can actually hear it on my car and I will get it removed as soon as you want it.

This is an economical and smart way to mod your car. It stay somewhat stock while gaining some great sound and performance. I am only looking to get what money I have into this project.

Located in San Diego - PM if interested.

Did you just take out the cats with tools by yourself? Are the e90 and e92 sections the same?

I work at an aerospace machine shop running CNC machines so I payed a co-worker who does out sheet metal fab to do the work and welding.

The project was professionally done and like I said, you can't really tell anything was modified \ The pipes were set up in a jig and cut along an existing weld, then hollowed out with a long concrete spade drill, then welded back together along an existing seam.

I'm not sure about the fit up differences between e90 / e92

Any questions, lemme know!

I can crawl under the car and do my best with the camera tonight but in all honesty there isnt much to see, it simply looks like an OEM x-pipe. Veeeery stealth like.

I will do my best to get a video this week or this weekend at the latest.
