I'm invited to drive a Lexus LFA tomorrow 9/8 at Monticello with Scott Pruett
I've been invited to drive the Lexus LFA tomorrow at Monticello Motor Club "MMC" tomorrow with Scott Pruett as my instructor. It was a invite that went out to Facebook fans of MMC, and they picked the first 10 folks that responded.
I've have 4 days at that track including one last week, so I know the place. It should be a blast, I suspect I'll set a new all time top speed for myself on the long straight. We might get to run our own cars on the track as well. I'm taking the E92M3, which hasn't been on the track since last year, it will be good to stretch it's legs. I plan on taking a lot of pics and some video to share.

This should be fun. Handing you the keys to drive the yet to be released LFA.
 The Benz SLS, Ferrari 458 are already roaming the streets. When will this car be available to the masses??? Its been 10 years....Jeez.. I want the GTboard guys to wring out this LFA & post vids of this car...

Disappointment at Monticello
I had an interesting day. What started as an invite to drive the LFA and possibly get some track time in my own car turned into, not even a ride in the LFA and no track time in my own car.
I did get a ride around Monticello in a CTS-V, a IS-F and a Ferrari F430. The IS-F ride was with Pruett driving. And I had Pruett sign my helmet as well. The leadership at Monticello didn't have their act together when the sent out the invitation and the PR folks and the bosses had two different ideas of what the "guests" could do. Somewhat disappointing but not a total loss. Certainly not worth the 6 hours roundtrip.
