Floor mat backorder?

Took delivery of my M3 sedan yesterday and my dealership said the floor mats were backordered with no ETA...Anyone else run into this issue?

They said they were having issues finding a new supplier..Not sure how accurate that is.

Are you guys talking about the M3 embroidered mats? I am picking up my E92 Friday and the M3 mats are part of my deal - they better be there lol.

I could care less about the mats... they get ruined quickly anyways... I hate "all weather mats" but prefer those to picnic- beach trip...and during bad weather.

By the time these 'M' mats arrive in mid September-bad weather rain, we will need "all weather mats" anyways...

Any suggestion on "all weather mats" after market and such?

how come you have extra mats? Have you used some other ones to replace originals or simply had extra?

I bought 2 extra boxes just to have, in case I ever needed them because as you said they will eventually wear out and get scuzzy no matter how clean I keep my car. Its just the anal retentiveness kicking in.....

In these difficult times of global recession, your intuitive early purchase of extra floor mats proved to be a very wise investment decision, sir

I think those are Aluminium (or for the price that Scuderia is,- titanium?) ... and look like something I see in Home Depot supplies section... sheets of aluminium...

All jokes aside... seriously considering custom fitting some sort of CF or Aluminium mats... seems like a very easy interesting project and an awesome mod!

I used to make CF back in high school, back in 1980's... as part of aeronautics work shop... CF is not difficult to make if you are equipped and supplied nicely.

or maybe not

Had them in my F250 the worked extremely well with all the slop but the color of them was like 2 shades off of the gray interior. Always found myself swapping them in and out with the stock ones

is this a joke? no way these are going into my M3... I'd rather get BMW all weather mats,- had them in my 335i... for years, and wasn't bad at all, and very very functional, yet elegant...

don't know... maybe I'm underestimating "weather tech" mats

but I think the ones from BMW on photo below are better:

I bought these for my 330i in 02 and I have been using them every winter since - the same set! They are very durable and last forever.
