...work all day and then go home to perform some minor maintenance on my Z4, or take the afternoon off, cruise top-down to Candyland, and hang out for a while as the pros performed the minor maintenance. Guess which I did?

The main eye candy was this hot-off-the-presses SLSC. $188k. Special ordered by a guy who traded in a low mileage Ferrari 599 (which hadn't yet arrived). I don't think I've ever seen brakes this big. And I got a kick out of the door lock barely a foot off the ground.

Other eye candy included this GT3RS. Wasn't crazy about the color.

There was a "normal" GT3 that one of their clients, who has more money than god, traded in for a new Panamera. This guy buys top cars, drives them for 500-1000 miles, then trades them in.

They also had this cherry Trans Am. This was a dream car when I was in high school. How cars have changed.

i saw an sls on the road a week ago, and it was certainly an attention grabber. I'd still take the 599 over it any day though.

The SLS doesn't look good at all from the pictures... I'd take a 599, 430, 458 over that car in a heartbeat.

I didn't think much of the SLS based on photos in the car mags. Then I saw it in person at the Chicago Auto Show.

It is actually a very stunning car. I couldn't take my eyes off of it...

Door opens from the remote. Push a button and the door comes up.
