young people affording E90s
I can't beleive how many young people have E90s; I know I certainly couldn't afford one at their age. I am wondering if it is because parents are buying them or just the saved expense of living at home? Anyway, I am curious how many people can afford E90s outright with financial independence and how many people on here had help.

I checked but there were none with a poll or real stats. I have nothing against it, just wondering how you all do it. If I could've had a BMW at 18 I would've.

You need to define "young people."

Paid for mine 100%, have a job, live at home, help out with other expenses. Currently no need for me to live away from home.

First off I'm 23.
I voted for the 3rd but I'm more inbetween the 3rd and the 2nd question. I don't really live at home anymore although all of my stuff is there. I live with my gf but she pays the rent, but I in no way don't carry my fair share by paying for other things and lending a generous hand so we come out even. I could have comfortably afforeded my car completely on my own either way. I'm currently saving for a home downpayment to be used this spring, and paying off my school loans extremely fast(I'll be done around May and only out of school a year so far, YEAH!). I have my funds well under control, I just wanted to treat myself to something nice. Sure I could have saved more without getting the bimmer, but hell you only live once and the car is a fucking blast to drive and look at.

I sell small children over seas for incredible amounts of profit, oh and I pimp Nikki on the weekends...
But seriously, I'm 22, married and paid for my own, and we live on our own.

I'm 38 and I finally got me one bimmer!!! (I have a nice 4 bedroom house though (75% paid), 4 kids and a good savings plan for their school (and my retirement) and both my BMW and my wife's Durango are paid for.
In my life, first things first (think with the brains, not the heart). My first car was donated by my Dad though - it was a '72 Ford Pinto in 1991! I don't miss that car a bit ... Look at my cars' history - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20406 |

I voted #3....but I guess I do not really count based on the premise of this poll.
I am not really the "too young for BMW". I am 33 and do have a career...so its no surprise that I can afford my car and my living expenses.
