Help with Jet Black, Fox Red non extended
Do you like the non extended Fox Red interior with carbon leather or with aluminum trim better? I don' t know how to make a poll, but help me with my order (I love both). The exterior is Jet Black.

The aluminum draws attention from the leather too much for me visually. If I were going straight black leather or cloth, I'd get the aluminum trim.

My plan is Jerez Black with non-extended Fox Red with carbon leather. I personally think the interior is a lot warmer place to be without the clinical brushed aluminum trim.

I agree. The aluminum trim is a little cold looking, IMO. Either one will look good because it's not monotone. I have black non extended interior and instead of going carbon leather which would have been too much black for me, I went with the M exclusive Sycamore Anthracite Wood. The wood is warm looking and it's a little luxurious to boot.

I may be one of the few posters here who has bought both:
- for Black, go for CF/FR - Id argue for ER as I love it and others think it makes the car look more special - SS II / Space - then go for the aluminium - that's what I did w/ the latter. looks superlative -- V

IMHO and what I went with was, Carbon leather trim (exclusive to the M3) and looks nice. All black leather. But if I had gone Fox Red I would have not gone extended. In my opinion it's ugly and not worth the extra $$$. But carbon leather trim is real nice I think. Good luck with your choices.

Red leather in a blue car? Yikes! If I had to do it again it would be the silver/extended red combo. |

I'm going to say go with the aluminum. A friend of mine has a 335xi that is black on red with aluminum trim and it looks great. She doesn't doesn't have the extended leather, so it's pretty close to what you are looking at doing. IMO, the carbon leather will look great, but it is more "needed" if you get the extended leather. I have the aluminum trim in my car, and I like it. I have silver leather, so the blue tint of the aluminum looks great. I'm happy that I didn't go with the carbon leather.

I agree w/ this which is why I got extended to lighten up the dash while keeping the carbon look.
