Just ordered: E92 M3 6MT! Mods?
Hey guys, I just ordered a 2010 E92 M3 in December. It's got the moonroof though, wish I would've gotten the CF. Anyway, any suggestions on mods, whether it be aesthetics or performance? Also, are there any kits out there to get a CF roof conversion with or without the sunroof? Thanks in advance

Yes. Your first mod should be to change your order to CF roof if that is what you want. If you just placed the order you should still have time.

I thought you could no longer order 2010 model years. Isn't it 2011 going forward?

Space grey. What exhaust would you recommend? I've looked at a few, I really like the sound of the eisenmann race exhaust. And how about coilovers? I'm not very well versed when it comes to E9xs.

Congrats.. Enjoy the car first and see what "improvements" you would like.
I drove it stock for most of time and just recently got an exhaust.. makes a HUGE difference in terms of the feel of driving.

Eisenmann race is a great choice if you don't mind its loudness and drone. If not, then get the sport version since it has the same tone but different volume and no drone. I got 1 for sale btw As for coilovers, do you have tech package or EDC?

I would do the cheap ones first:
-High Flow Air Intake -RPi Scoop -Underdrive Pulleys and then after that: -Exhaust (Meisterschaft, AA) -and I think CF Lip adds a bit to the look (Vorsteiner, ACS) -VRS CSL Boot Lid (or Rep) |

There are a lot of threads on this topic but in regards to exhaust that was the 2nd thing I did before wheels. I have the Eisnenman Race and initially being a girl thought it was kinda loud but now I like it, it sure turns heads. I got good advice from people on this mod thing, go to GIRL TALK, there is a list of suggested mods beginning with the basics. Mine are all cosmetic, but you definitely have to change out the wheels, space and lower. Have fun, its expensive and addictive.

Maybe you should just not buy this one and order a 2011 with the CF roof. A new roof is going to cost thousands of dollars including parts and labor and will smash your prospects for resale among many buyers. (I would personally not buy a used car with a new roof welded to it be it CF or not.)

Why don't you enjoy the stock exhaust for a little while? Nothing wrong with the stock one, and it sounds great too. I think some of those high end aftermarket exhausts are over rated and make M3 sound more like a 1988 Camaro Z-28.

Yeah, but I'd rather not have a fake CF roof. Don't see a point

I am about to order a Space Gray 6M w/ a moon roof. CF just doesn't look right on Space Gray IMO, plus I like having the roof open.
Congrads on your car. Post some pics when you get it.
