Thank you BMW!
This is why I have been a loyal costumer for the past 10 years and have owned more than 30 BMW's.
As some of you may know my '09 M3 with 4kmiles has been on the shop for 29 days with eletronic problems. Many many parts were replaced (whole DME, idle valve, throttle boddies, wire harness and more). The problem comes and goes and they couldnt detect it yet. (2 engineers came from factory to inspect the car last week) My position: I have been a great costumer and always had great service and never complained about a thing BUT I dont feel confortable or trust this car anymore. The GOOD NEWS: I get a call from BMW today telling me that they will replace the car and that can put an order for an MY2011!! Great, right on time for the Competition Package! Thanks BMW for excelent costumer service! !

Great to hear some positive reports on this board for once It's so easy for peeps to talk crap and complain but rarely do we take the time to report good things.

Hope thats a typo and your gettin a 2011, cause i dont think the 2010 had a competition package. Either way, HELLSS YEA!!!!! Good for you!!1 Hope if I ever have problems they are this committed to good service.

I'm actually surprised. It must be because of your lemon laws in the states caus' I don't think that would happen in canada. I know a few people who had BMW lemons, plagued with electronic problems, and they were not offered new cars.

There have been a good number of, frankly incredible, stories of poor service (DCT fluid replaced, and with the wrong fluid) where the dealer denies anything is wrong or just tried to fleece a forum member (the "bad gas wrecked your fuel pump" scam is classic). It's great to see the right thing happening and to know some dealers are solid and that BMW will make things right. On the other hand being a "frequent flyer" doesn't hurt in cases like this either! |

Don't laugh, my first 335i had an annoying rattle at highway speeds in the drivers side "A" arm. This appeared after 20K miles and I started complaining at about 25K miles. After numerous (over 8) attempts to fix, they bought the car back. I really liked the car so I only wanted the problem fixed, not a new car.
