I'm in the same boat as you. My car has been at the dealer for exactly one month to the day, and I've been driving around in a 328. It's a fine car, but I've been itching for the M3 desperately.

Between the snow and generally bad weather coupled with a wheels off spring clean, machine polish and wax mine has been tucked up for a month so Ive been in the Jeep and the JCW. The JCW is a great car but I was giggling like a 6 year old in the M today. Like getting a new car, must leave it alone for a week or so more often!

That's brutal! I haven't driven either of my M3's in over a month, and then probably only twice in the last 2 months. Winter time is here and quattro is working hard.

i feel your pain guys
i HAVE to take my car to work at least once a week even though i have a company truck, just for driving it... i feel so bad leaving it in the garage, i'd rather drive it in this miserable weather than letting it sit for too long.. that what car washes are for !! It must be even harder with an M... |

sold my M3 and only have had my weekend car for about 2 months. it's been raining so I don't drive it. and I don't like leaving it at work (Bad hood) so I pretty much haven't had a car except weekends that are sunny can't wait to get a DD

Barely a day goes by that I don't drive mine... Gotta love California!
I drive a Dodge Sprinter (Mercedes diesel!) van as part of the work I do and getting in the ///M after driving that tank gives me a frequent reminder of our awesome ride. |

I will soon feel the pain! I have had the M3 stored since November and will get about 2 months to drive it before the deployment. At least I get back in the following summer.

i think the car has to be driven for it to remain in tiptop shape. even if its a couple miles a day. invest in snow tires/wheels and the car is very drivable in cold weather conditions. i love to drive it and on a sunny cold day it cant be passed up for a suburban.

Funny, we have had 2 big snows (at least big for us) this winter in NC. Consequently, I end up driving the Cayenne more. However, after reading about and hearing others talk about winter tires for the M3...I am considering doing this for the following winter. In the Feb issue of C&D, they talked of using the Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero tires...only problem was deep snow, but then I expect that. Otherwise, "the M3 proved quite adept at getting around despite all the white stuff that fell last winter and spring." They have the OEM 18 sizes (245/40 and 265/40) which I use anyway (not a big fan of bigger wheels). Any experience with these tires? driving the M3 in the snow? It is my daily driver.
