You can also try having a service advisor/manager give you a print out from the dealer listing all of the recalls that have been done to the vehicle for you to add to your documentation on the vehicle, get him to put their dealer stamp on it (like you would in your service book) and you're good to go.

I sent a copy of a document I got from a US BMW dealer regarding importing an E60 RIV last week, I have not heard back from them but the dealer sent me another email stating that she was told that RIV do not accept anything from US dealers based on instructions provided to them by BMW Canada.
