Winter Hibernation :(
I hate winter and this year is particularly bad. So the "good" cars stay safe at home. I miss them.
Now if I could just figure out how to get to the M3 (e93) battery, I could hook up my battery maintainer. |

I just bought a trickle charger today. Do I have to leave it plugged in all the time or just charge it every couple weeks? Instructions were not clear at all.
thanks

When I used to store cars I left the trickle charger on all the time. It keeps the battery fully charged.

Besides, I can only park the 997 on top, if the m3 goes on top I can't get the lift high enough to park the 911 underneath. |

They're not that expensive, the trick is having a garage with a high enough ceiling.

I've been tempted to store the M3 for the winter too, and I mostly drive another car this time of year.
Instead of using a trickle charger, I try to take it out for a 20 to 30 minute run every week or two. I like the idea of getting all the fluids warm and keeping all the parts lubricated. The tires don't get flat-spotted, either. |

Very good eye. You must have x-ray vision
Yes. I use it for service and storage. It makes my 2 car garage a 3 car garage. Thanks! Quote:

Just one. Mr. Slim! Works like a charm. Heat in winter, cold in summer. |
