LESS Cowbell Please!!!
I'm hearing what sounds like cowbells dangling from the rear end of my car both in forward and reverse at low speeds. It's a pretty obnoxious and embarrassing sound to be coming from my $70k car. I have the DCT. It's abut 50 degrees outside and just started happening. Doesn't seem to matter if the car is cold or warm. Took a quick look underneath without jacking it up and nothing is hanging or looks funny.
Anyone else hearing this??? Is something wrong with my diff??? |

Common problem. It's rocks hitting the dust shield. Couple of people have experienced this. Drive the car hard a bit and it will shake out. There's some threads talking about this.
I had the same problem. It eventually went away after the rocks knocked loose.

I would agree that it is small rock or rocks betweeen the brake rotor and the aluminum shield.....it has happened to me 3 times in 20,000 miles....longest it lasted was 2 days....it will go away....just keep driving...good luck.
