Some M3 drivers are still turds!!

So yesterday I'm driving on the high way and a nice AW E92 pulls up next me, so of course I'm going to check it out. The car was completely stock.

Nonetheless, he sees me looking at his car and then checks out my winter beater, a Ford Escape. Seeing that his car was better than mine, he smirks at me and accelerates off quickly for fifty yards or so to show me that his M3 is faster than my Escape.

Honestly, was that called for? I hope you're on this site and reading this thread just so you know how stupid you look. Not for anything, but your attitude towards your blessings stink! Humble yourself!

I seriously hope that most of us in this community aren't like that because that would be sad.

I seriously hope that most of us in this community aren't like that because that would be sad.

I don't know the guy and much less my M3 is AW, but normally I accelerate quite quickly regardless who is beside me in the road.

So perhaps that driver said "hello" in his particular "smirky" way -he could be missing his front teeth for what we know- and just accelerated in his normal way?

LOL, J/K, J/K. But I agree with Technic, he might have just been doing his thing and not really trying to be a douche. Maybe he figured you wanted to see the car in action or whatever. If think about it - just like you don't know his intentions for sure, he might not know yours. That's why, in situations like this, I tend to shrug it off. Now if someone is driving like a total ass bean around me, then yes I will take off or get the hell away because they obviously have issues.

maybe he thought u were a car enthusiast and wanted to give you a little show. not exactly to be cocky. sometimes when I would drive people would stare and my car and give me the "punch it" wave telling me to floor it and I never did but at one point I was like some people will never experience this so I give a little launch and then slow down. not trying to say my M3 is faster than their Scion tC....

i think maybe you are too emotional. it could be he drove regularly like that regardless who is beside him. I don't drive much over speed limit, but very aggressive on the throttle and I would careless who is beside me. If i want to change lane, I would downshift/redline even though I could just smoothly changing lane without breaking a sweat. Not sure what the other driver are thinking of me though. My point is maybe he wasn't trying to show off anything and he was just driving his usual style.

hmm, sometimes I do that not to show that my car is faster but to show how the car sounds and looks and think that might be cool to the observer.

Funny thread! Yea I have both things happen all the time. First in my 328 I still bust out on a green light like im on a drag strip. Just like to drive that way.

But yea, every time Im in my dads f430 or M3, even the old M6 any and every car would want to show that they can go fast to. WE do a vegas farrari drive a few times a year. The cars that try to pass us going like 95 are sooo funny. I mean, beat up sentras, corrolas, delivery vans, you name it. And they love to cut short in front of you. Maybe they are trying to chip the front of our cars with rocks, who knows.

That being said, I am in a fast car and someone is checking it out on the freeway, I do the same thing, rev it up and floor it. I do this cause when im next to a Lambo, ferrari any nice or supped up car, I want to hear them rev it up and floor it.

So yea, he may have just thought, this guy will enjoy this! I call the f430 a smile machine, cause you can put smiles on faces of people on the road and sidewalk just by driving by!!!

Well I was leaving the health club a few months ago and since I don't see many M3's I noticed an AW cruising along side of me, he looked over at me, checked out my car and made a sharp cut in front of me and I WAS in my M. He was an old guy, sorry old guys out there, and saw I was a girl so wasn't sure what that was about but that was a downer and now I have to see him all the time at the club, yuck.
