Is something wrong with my clutch?!

I know this car has a twin disc clutch and a performance flywheel and what not...
but recently I've noticed this weird sound coming from my clutch
when I put it in N and clutch out, it's like a scraping noice...
it's not that "tupperware warming" noise *yes I did search*
it's like someone stuck something in between the clutch and flywheel and it's scraping...almost like a whistle
can someone check their car and let me know

You need to record it to know what exactly you're talking about. The clutch gets pretty clunky when modulating the clutch at slow speeds, like reversing out of your garage. And even worse if going slightly uphill, since drivetrain is reversing direction every time you depress clutch pedal enough to disengage clutch.

Oh, and if you're idling with the clutch pedal out, it's noisy too, but shouldn't be too loud. Again, only a sound file will allow us to help you better. Good luck.

Is there any other sign of a bad throwout bearing?

Drive around at 6k rpm and completely let go of your throttle but don't clutch in. If the sound continues all the way down and goes away once you clutch in, it's your throw-out bearings.

The throwout bearing is only like a $40 part but you have to drop the tranny to swap it out..

Did they put a new throwout bearing in when you put in the clutch? as a rule you should always put a new one in when changing your clutch..

Van...Don't know if you caught my recent post...but I think I have the same thing! My M3 is at the dealership & they checked out the clutch, flywheel, throw-out bearing & all tolerances were good & the clutch & flywheel looked fine. That said, they are replacing the clutch, flywheel, throw-out bearing & "Y" fork & hopefully by next Tues the parts will come in & by Wed. this will fiz the problem & I get my M3 back...if not, they said replacing the tranny is next.
