Is the complimentary one day M Driving school still available for new M owners?

I think that was only for 08 owners. I tried for my 09 and got zero.

No longer available unless you do Performance Center Delivery and then you kinda get a day but it isn't a full day but still well worth it.

This was a promo for anyone buying an M3 from September 2008 through December 2008. It applied to both left over MY2008 cars and new MY2009 cars.

As far as I know, they haven't repeated the promo since. But there is always the possibility they will in the future. Also, you might be able to find an amazing deal on a left over car such that the discount more than pays for the M School itself anyway. With the 2011s arriving in March there may soon be deals on 2010s still on the lots, and of course you can probably get a great deal on what is left (if any) of the 2009s or 2008s.

I received a complimentary one day regular driving school when I purchased in July. It's worth about 1/2 the amount of the M driving school. They are allowing me to apply the value towards the M school whenever I choose to go. Probably sometime in the spring.

I think you (at least used to) get this with M5 & 6 purchases, too.

Are you sure that it is really a complimentary driving school?

Happy New Year!!!

According to the info I was given when I spoke to BMWNA, my voucher/ID number is good for the one day driving school. It's worth $650. The one day M school costs $1295. So for $645 out of pocket, I can upgrade to the M school.

Seems like a worthwhile upgrade, and like I said, probably will do it sometime in the spring. There will probably be a Myrtle Beach detour in there as well.

As others have said, that was a promotion, not available at the current time. May I strongly recommend, if you have not already done so, that you seek out a HPDE event near you and sign up. You will get a lot out of it, and for the expense, more bang for your buck, although you are driving your car instead of BMWs.

Happy New Year all.

Only A FEW '08 owners, as noted. All I got was an 800-mile complimentary trip back home . Oh, and also 500+ 'complimentary' miles on my odo dealer didn't tell me until the last minute (driven from another dealer) . Fortunately they dropped a $500 'complimentary' doc fee I was greeted with upon arrival .

You're a year too late. It was for people who purchased their M3s between Sept? to Dec 08. Had nothing to do with MY either, mine was an 09.

It was just a sale incentive. It was awesome BTW. Best driving experience ever for me, and my wife loved it also.

I'll be heading out for the one day m-school with one of my best buddies on Jan 12th, should be lots of fun. They are handling two days worth of accomodations, transportation and One full day of m school for two people.

It's a nice thing but wasn't a huge factor when I bought the car.

At the risk of not knowing what you are talking about how do I find out where a HPDE event is and what does it stand for. I've been wanting to do a driving school event for awhile and actually wouldn't mind using my own M. I also never heard about the comp M school and have an 08.

I received a voucher for a "complimentary One-Day Car Control School" ~2 weeks ago. Too bad my special register # is no longer valid (according to the website) since I already picked up my M3 in Munich in Nov. Apparently they do offer the driving schools as an incentive at different times. My offer did not require a purchase of an M3....only a BMW. I am going to call to see if they will still accept my registration. All they can say is no. I really want to do the M performance school.

HPDE is a High Performance Driving Event. The most relaible source for well-run training sessions is the BMWCCA. There are chapters across the country. In my area, the CCA, ACA, Porsche & Alfa clubs all open their driving sessions to each other. The CCA also has an insurance partner that can provide vent insurance, a major plus isnce likely you insurance company will not cover you.

A bonus is that after belonging to BMWCCA for a year you can get $500 rebate on your next M.

Genreal club info here: http://bmwcca.org/.
