RANT: MJ wake

Anyone else find it completely absurd that his wake has turned into a concert? Seriously, wtf

I find it offensive that this cost $4,000,000 when LA County is cash strapped.

It dosent bother me. Considering how much the man gave away and impact he had on the world, I'm fine with it.

It wasnt exactly a wake. It was a memorial celebration. I've been to countless memorials and it has gone exactly like this. Stories are shared and songs are sung.

L.A. County had 1/3 of all its police officers on duty. It would have cost them a lot more if they didnt. My .02

Guess what, there a thing called if you dont like what is on the television change it...I find it offensive that someone who was basically labeled as the best pop icon can still have some haters after his death whining about how much time he is getting. We Americans complain about the stupidist shit....

relax bud. I can tell by your avatar that you wish you might have been one of the children he molested, but my point wasnt that I'm hatin on him. I think he music was great and he's the "michael jordan" of the music business. I just feel that his wake should have in fact been a wake and not a concert....I feel like it was disrespectful to him in a certain sense.

i don't find it disrespectful....i mean his life revolved around music, i think it is somewhat fitting to have a few heartfelt songs sung for him.

Exactly, not to mention the whole STATE is in a deficit. If you live in CA and you pay your taxes, you have participated in paying for the services associated with the wake today. They were saying 40+ CHP were guiding the motorcade through LA

The world is a better place without a freak and a man who molested children gone. If you want to challenge that , explain to us how he paid 20+ million to shut a child and his parents mouth. Not to mention the fact he is on video , admitting that there is nothing wrong with a 40 year old man sleeping with male children. There were FACTS exposed in his trial about hos he had a video camera system outside his bedroom, as well as a buzzer system warning him of oncoming people. Oh, and let's not forget the one sided bedroom lock. Us normal people always need one of those. It's a shame the media needs to glorify this crap, as well as every idiot celebrity that showed up. I like how they claim" he was not convicted"......neither were the cop who beat Rodney King. yet, those same people justified burning down LA. Double standard ? LOL..yeah. Oh, and why is Al Sharpton there ? Is Tawana Brawley done using him ?

This whole MJ memorial, wake, concert, tribute, however you called it, is a complete traversty and disgrace for Angelenos and Californians in general. We're all paying for the circus for a dead guy...big f*cking deal! Everybody dies! When you or I die one of these days, nobody gives a shit. And in this case this guy died because he's OD on drugs...sigh

How about we have a moment of silence for our 8 fallen Marines in Afghan yesterday! One second well spent.

Jesse I hijack companies for money Jackson.........Al Tawana Brawley Sharpton....what better list of people would you want praising you ? Not to mention all the losers who claimd on TV that they didnt even have money for meals.....but they came to LA. I love to know that the 600+ bucks a week that I get taxed goes to this crap, not to mention my wife's money. Makes me wonder about the future of this country.

How about whats goin on in Iran, or Russia and US conference, or our fucktarded soon to be ex-50th governor (or is it 49th? whatever)

Its funny how everyone runs to that molesting situation. Im just about his music, not his personal life like a bunch of woman. I didnt like michael jackson for who he was after the mic. I'm just talking about his music period. You feel its disrespectful thats fine. Smokey robinson was singing. I mean common it wasnt souljah boy doing the funeral so i dont think it was disrespectful. These were all people who grew up with him or knew him personally when it came to music. Like Kat williams says the more haters the better...
