A new low level of stupidity

Is determining what a parking space is really that hard? Apparently so for some stupid ass Prius driver.

In the bay area you never know, could be an old civic driver. People around here just dont know how to operate a vehicle at all, in any conditions.

If ONLY our local police departments would read automobile statistics and go after the BAD DRIVERS instead of just "speeders". If they can't even park a car, they certainly don't know how to drive one properly, and they will only end up causing an accident, or hitting some little kid who runs out in the street.

It happened down here in SoFL. Some lady was blowing along AT 60 MPH on city streets, and into a school zone. The crossing guards waved at her, cars beeped, she just kept going, leaning against her arm against the window, merrily driving along.

Two little girls, sisters, one 5 and the other 9 or so, the older holding the younger girl's hand. All of a sudden, the older girl felt a tug. It was the Lexus slamming into the younger girl. It knocked her 50 feet down the road, and her shoes went 80 feet.

The driver simply stated that she "wasn't paying attention". SHE WAS LET OFF WITH ONLY A FINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A life was taken by an inattentive driver (parking or driving, no difference), and cops/courts say this is ok. Do 80mph on the highway, THEN the cops say you are dangerous and give out tickets of $500, $1000, $2000.

Cops believe one thing, "Speeding is bad, Bad Driving is ok". As long as they think that, jagoffs will both drive and park poorly, attentive drivers will suffer, our cars will suffer numerous door dings and various forms of automobile accidents, and children will continue to die.

All until all of us, all American voters, remember to go to the polls and vote for new people to be our govt representatives.

no, no, no... remember the toyota commercials? "Buying a toyota is SOOO Smart".

Obviously you are of superior intellect and knowledge if you drive a toyota... Particularly a hybrid version which is "green" and anti-global warming. People that drive hybrids are smarter - get it through your head.

And this person was just inducing efficiency and smart utilization of space. The "gross polluter" sub-40MPG BMW just shouldnt exist anyway...

right?

Let's not also forget, that the Prius has the LOWEST rating for both steering and brakes.

Even if a person is paying attention, if they slam on the brakes and the car doesn't stop, they will still hit a kid!

I appreciate the "green" efforts. Slow steady steps towards being "green" is the way to go. BUT, slow enough to keep up. 48mpg but dangerous, nah! If you want to go green, get a Tesla or an Aptera.

Fark Prius drivers. This type of stuff pisses me off. And here in LA, we see a lot of this kinda crap. Jewpac, where was this? Just curious.

I agree with what others have said about bad driving. Bad drivers are a much worse threat to public safety than speeders, in my opinion. Although a bad driving speeder is the worst.

Lesson to all should be, continued driver education. Not just when you're 16, but continue to tighten that nut behind the wheel your entire life.

I like that statement, "tighten the nut behind the wheel", good one!

Yes, I definitely agree, continued driver education is essential. I have been driving since I was 10 years old, I am closing in on driving 1 Million Miles in my lifetime, and I still learn new things all the time. The Learning Process never ends.
