Stupid passenger seat weight sensor

Why can't I put even a small grocery bag on my passenger seat without getting a warning gong? Do I have to disable the airbag every time I go grocery shopping? I am sick of putting stuff on the floor to keep the warning from going off.

well you could get the grocery gripper and hang the bag or bags of groceries in your trunk

My groceries enjoy a safe and comfortable ride buckled up every week. It is a PIA though.

I thought this was the real reson they bothered to put foot wells behind the front seats.

hahaha...i didn't realize that the 1er's passenger weight sensor was so sensative. In my E46 M3, my girlfriend wouldn't even set off the sensor!!
