I think its a normal car that has put a carbon roof, usually prototypes have at least the badges covered

I would say that it is a mod some guy did to his car. For a couple grand you can purchase a CF roof here in the US too.

Tii failed miserably in the states, and Audi has kept its very popular A3 hatch from the states for that very reason.

So, if BMW is planning to do a Tii again here, they need to tread VERY lightly and feel out the market first. We already have Mini. Slap Tii in the market, or even the A3 hatch here, I think they would still not do well.

Umm...the A3 hatch? Do you mean the three door? Because the five door has been available in the US since 2005. Its also done well for itself.
