Went to Dinan's HQ today...
To get my stage 2 software upgrade done. I guess that's one benefit of living in the bay area. Nice folks (and nice cars) there. Took about an hour to complete and during that time I was given a quick tour by Chris. Their exhausts are hand-made right there and it was cool to see some of the race engines they were building up.
I also was taken for a ride in Steve Dinan's 135i. It had the ecu upgrade, exhaust, and stage 3 suspension. The exhaust is very quiet at idle and sounds amazing at WOT. Supposedly they have a version coming out with a ceramic black tip so I'm pretty interested in that. Chris also took me out for a quick "spirited" drive that would have had most people screaming for their life, but it was a lot of fun. The upgraded suspension wasn't harsh at all, but held it's composure really well under extreme cornering. I was amazed how much grip that car had. That pretty much sold me on their suspension package (someday). As far as the software upgrade, I haven't pushed my car yet since it's still in the break-in period (450 miles), but there's a noticeable difference in torque just driving and shifting in the 2500-4000rpm range. I'm finding every excuse I can to drive around and get over this babying period.

The rebate is good thru Feb 28th... I'm trying hard to justify the money for this tune over others that make the same or more for less. This rebate ends for me tomorrow, because my local Dinan dealer is not open Saturday...

Nice, glad to hear you liked the exhaust. Mine should be in on Monday and I hope to install it as soon as we have a nice day.
How much lower was the 1 on Dinan springs vs stock? |

I didn't really pay attention to the gap, but I'm pretty sure he said it was a half an inch drop.

Radian, did you happen to note what tires they had on Steve's 135i? The saleman told me they did all the testing on stock rims with 225/255 PS2's. Is that what you saw?

Stock tires weren't on the car at the time I got a ride. I forgot which tires they had on, but definitely were not Bridgestones.
