Does it still say year one of the 1?

I think its been pretty well covered in the past that the first year runs from march 08 to march 09.

BMWNA disagrees with this which was the reason I asked if anyone has a car that was built in 2009. What's your source?

I have a 2009 and it does NOT say Year One of One. I have to say that I haven't lost any sleep over this either!

My car had a production date of Jan 13th 2009 and it does not say year one of the one

That's very strange. Are you in the US?

Mine finished production on 12/18 and DOES have "Year One of the 1" around the starter button bezel.

FYI: You are and by that I mean the former.

Thanks to 09 build owners, I held out 1% hope that maybe I'd get a year 1 car. I was hoping for an upside surprise (and its NOT the bezel I was after, I'm actually happy it won't say year 1) I was hoping for the book. But no bezel engraving, no book I presume. Maybe overrated, certainly not losing sleep but it would've been kinda nice. First two payments and $2700 tax deduction admittedly nicer however...

My '09 had a November '08 build date. It had Year 1 engraving, and I got my wonderful book and other goodies.
