Autoweek - Cars We Love
Just got the 2/23/09 Autoweek. In the "Cars We Love" feature the One Series is on the first page. Don't think it is available online, so no link, but it finishes up with "Proportionately speaking, the smallest, sparest BMW displays the biggest chops of the entire lineup, and it just might be the ultimate driving BMW." High praise indeed!

The 1er truly deserves the recognition it receives. TM

Haha speaking of M3's, anyone notice the whole M3 vs 135i thing among the editors at Edmunds Inside Line? I do agree with the whole M3's engine you need to rev and shift because it has lower peak torque, while you don't even need to change gears in the 1er because of the uber-torque. You can get to 60 in second gear before redline heh. Dunno if I agree with the ride quality assessments though.
This post and several others before it on IL: http://blogs.edmunds.com/roadtests/2...ense.html#more And sorry for

Phenomenal issue. I'm a subscriber. Great section on best detailers in USA including one here in Texas, Griots, and more. The cover has the new Mercedes E Class Coupe - quite a stunning automobile. The German companies really are kicking some major product butt.

It's nice to see praise in the press, but that page seemed like fluff. The 128i's a nice ride, but the performance didn't have me jumping up and down. The same goes for the S5 even more so. I mean you can go on and on about the design and looks, but "muscle car"? Please.
