Flaking Paint on OEM Wheel

Anyone have paint flaking problems on your OEM wheels?

I noticed flakes flying off when I hosed the wheel off before washing. The water pressure from a garden hose was enough to start tearing off the outer layer. I'm not sure if a rock caused this or if i just got a bad wheel. Lucky its the same color underneath and looks just fine when clean but when the wheels get dirty, you can obviously see the frayed edge. So far the flaking has worked its way toward the center of the wheel and down this leg.

I saw this posted awhile back and I think the person took it to the dealer and they replaced the wheel. They shouldnt be chipping like that.

That is strange, are you planning on taking it in to the dealer?

It would be nice if they replaced it. However, the run flat are needing a change out soon so I will most likely just turn these into my winter/snow wheels and call it good.

I was more curious if anyone else has this same issue. I will stop by the dealership during a lunch break sometime for a chat.

A few people had this back on the Z4 forums and the dealers replaced them under warranty.
